traffic isn't moving.
Red light
delay further progress.
Right-a-way
cut off by an ass.
STOP.
Shanely pauses for a moment as a faint light catches his attention. He hesitates for a moment to see what it could be or to leave with Irene while they can. Shanely lays Irene back down to allow him to seek out the light. He follows the faint silver glimmer that glows brighter with every step he takes towards it. It takes several steps before Shanely is standing over what seems like pure energy in the shape of a sword. He leans over and picks up the object, when his skin comes intact with it, the light explodes. It courses through his body, burning Shanely’s flesh and seeping flame like heat into his veins. The burning seems to engulf h
Irene's speed increasingly slowed before her legs gave out from underneath her. She leans against a nearby tree's trunk for support while gasping to fill her lungs with more oxygen.
"Just a little run has you tired?" Shanely's taunt surprises Irene.
"I've been in a cage all my life. Being half griffin only gets me so far." Irene huffed at him. Irene squinted through the grey shadows to Shanely's dark outline. He takes a step towards her, allowing the moonlight to uncover him. Irene stares intensively at his bruised and bloody body shown in the dim lighting. Shanely continues walking to Irene, wishing with every step to be able to walk away.
